My maternity photography style is simple, soft and feminine. Just like newborn photography, this unique and special time deserves to be documented & celebrated. Many clients who come for their new baby photography session tell me they wished that they had done a maternity shoot as the only photos they have of themselves while pregnant were taken on their phones. How amazing to share this precious time with your children when they are older? Let me capture this exciting and emotional time, and the love you and your partner share for your unborn baby.
The ideal time to have your maternity photoshoot is at 28-34 weeks during your pregnancy and you are very welcome to include your partner and children in the session. During the photoshoot I will advise you on different looks with plenty of time to change outfits.

Your maternity session takes place in our beautiful studio located in Kinoulton, Nottingham. We will collaborate to select the perfect color scheme and create stunning, personalised portraits that highlight the beauty of your new baby.
After the session, you will be invited back to our studio for a relaxed and enjoyable viewing of your portraits on our large screen. During this session, you can choose the images you love and decide which ones you would like to purchase, ensuring your selections perfectly suit your preferences.
When you are ready to book, you can secure your newborn session with a non-refundable £50 session fee.

The best time for your pregnancy photoshoot is between 28-34. This is when you’ve just come out of the second trimester and your bump is a nice size. You’re also still in the blooming stage, so the perfect time to capture this special time. If you’re expecting twins (or more), it’s best to schedule your maternity shoot a little earlier at 26-30 weeks.
Having a new baby is an exciting time for everyone in the family and your partner and children are very welcome to participate. My purpose-built studio offers seating, drinks and snacks for those watching and also those involved.
Please come as if you were going on a night out. I can’t promise disco and dancing, but hopefully you get the idea. Hair down usually works well along with manicured nails as these will be on show. Please select your favourite underwear in addition to bringing a nude set
I have a selection of outfits, fabrics and accessories can also be used to style your session.
I provide a variety of maternity outfits including dresses and wraps but you are welcome to bring a favourite piece of clothing if you have something special in mind. If you are considering intimate portraits, please bring a nude set of underwear.
I keep the studio at a comfortable temperature. I appreciate pregnancy can make you feel hotter than usual, which is something I remember all too well.
Yes, images can be adjusted to your liking. Whether it’s removing scars, tattoos or stretch marks, this will be discussed as part of your maternity photoshoot session. I believe these marks are beautiful and part of your story, but am happy to tailor images. It’s really up to you. For example, a scar can be left, slightly reduced in appearance or totally removed. This magic happens after the photoshoot in the edit phase.
