Most newborn sessions take place in the first 10-21 days after the baby is born. At this stage I’m able to pose your baby in the cute positions you will see in my portfolio. In these early days of life your baby tends to be sleepier making a diverse range of poses possible.
Your bespoke newborn photography sessions are held in my comfortable home studio in Kinoulton, Nottinghamshire. It’s well equipped with varied backgrounds, blankets, wraps and props, perfect for a variety of styles and photos.
Your newborn photography session will last for up to three hours. I only undertake one newborn session per day to ensure a no-stress, no-rush session. We will discuss a range of styles and I’ll work with you to capture images that you will cherish forever.

Your newborn session takes place in our beautiful studio located in Kinoulton, Nottingham. We will collaborate to select the perfect color scheme and create stunning, personalised portraits that highlight the beauty of your new baby.
After the session, you will be invited back to our studio for a relaxed and enjoyable viewing of your portraits on our large screen. During this session, you can choose the images you love and decide which ones you would like to purchase, ensuring your selections perfectly suit your preferences.
Choosing a photographer is a difficult decision. I hope from the images in my websites gallery and reading reviews from previous customers you will see that newborn photography is a speciality of mine.
When you are ready to book, you can secure your newborn session with a non-refundable £65 session fee.
Approximately 2 weeks after your session, you will be welcomed to the studio for a viewing and ordering appointment – to view your final gallery of edited images and choose which package and products suit you best.
The best time to contact me is before you have your baby. I will then add you to my calendar around your expected due date and send newborn session details. Once your baby arrives, we’ll arrange and confirm an exact day for the photoshoot, ideally when your baby is under 21 days old. Babies tend to arrive when they’re ready and not when we always expect. I’ll work with you to ensure we find a time that works best and delivers the best results in the studio. The first weeks of life when baby sleeps more provide the best opportunity to capture wonderful images that will last a lifetime.
Of course. Having a new baby is an exciting time for everyone in the family, who are an important part of the story.
All you need to bring is your baby, nappies/wipes and milk (breast or bottle). It’s possible your baby may feed more frequently during the session, so please bring extra milk to ensure he/she stays comfortable and hydrated. I have big collection of accessories and props in numerous colours, so you don’t need to worry about anything.
If you or your baby are unwell, we can reschedule the session. Your health and comfort are top priorities. Please inform me as soon as possible (ideally with at least 24 hours’ notice) to arrange a new date for your photoshoot. The studio can get busy and with enough notice I may be able to offer a cancelled session to another family.
This is natural and nothing to worry about. I’m very experienced in working with babies and have plenty of techniques to help your newborn settle and relax. There’s no rush or strict time limit for the session. I work at your baby’s pace and am happy to take breaks for feeds and cuddles, which gives us an opportunity for a coffee and a chat. With three children of my own I’m used to mess so please don’t worry. The studio is well-prepared.
